The cloud icon in the desktop app (Windows & Mac) shows you the status of content synchronization in presono.
If you don't see a cloud icon, you're logged in via the browser and not in your desktop app (synchronization is available exclusively in the Windows/Mac app and not in the browser). The mobile apps work differently—learn more here: Presenting on a smartphone/tablet
Why do you need the desktop app? It's simple—for offline presentations! We always recommend using the desktop app or one of our mobile apps in offline mode for presentations to ensure the best performance. That way, you won't be affected by unstable internet connections or similar issues.

When you log in to the desktop app for the first time, presono automatically starts downloading the necessary data in the background. You can check the status by clicking the cloud icon in the upper-right corner.
You can also switch between online and offline mode by clicking the cloud icon. You can also see when the last synchronization took place and manually start a new synchronization.
