License Texts and Tracking of Media Downloads – presono's knowledgebase

With the license texts you can define an individual text for your terms of use in all three UI languages (German, English, French) which your users have to confirm before they can download a media from presono. Of course you can also decide which user groups are excluded from these settings.

The media download tracking allows you to track who has downloaded the media in question, when and how often. Note: if this feature is not yet activated for you, please get in touch with your main contact person at presono and we will be happy to take care of it!

License texts

To activate the license texts for your platform, go to the settings and to the configurations. In "Company" you will find the settings for this at the bottom.

Activate the terms of use with the button on the right.

Here you can define the following settings:

Select the heading in the dialog box (in German/English/French)
select the text for the terms of use (in German/English/French)
select the text for the checkbox that users have to confirm (in German/English/French) and
select those user groups that don't have to agree to these conditions to be able to download media (e.g. administrators).

In the end, click on "Save" in the bottom right corner.

All texts can be written in presono's three UI languages (German/English/French). Depending on which UI language the respective user has selected for himself, the corresponding note is then displayed.

If you fill in only one language, all users will get the same text.

Later, when a user who is not in one of the selected groups wants to download any media from presono, the following window will appear:

Only when the user ticks the checkbox, the medium can be downloaded.

Media download list

You can find the download list for each individual medium in its Meta Data.

There you will find all downloads of this medium, sorted by person. You can adjust the sorting and export the whole list as CSV.

If you click on each person, you will get information about when the media was downloaded. For translated media, a note about the language also appears here.
