Frequently asked questions:
Who can add or remove pinned presentations?
This requires group management rights. End users, such as presenters, cannot add or remove these presentations.
Why can't the user see the presentation on their dashboard eventhough it has been pinned and the user is also in the correct group?
If the presentation has been pinned to the correct group and the user is also in the group, it may be that the user group cannot see the presentation itself—i.e., they do not have the rights to the corresponding workspace, or the presentation is still in a workspace to which the group does not have access. You can quickly fix this by either moving the presentation or giving the group access to the corresponding workspace.
However, you can also take advantage of this and save a presentation that has not yet been released as a favorite and only release it later.
For example, the new trade fair presentation can already be saved as a group favorite by the presenters, even though the presenter group does not yet have access to the trade fair workspace. Once the trade fair briefing has taken place, the rights to the trade fair workspace will be assigned accordingly, which will also cause the presentation to appear on the dashboard.
What happens if a user is in multiple groups with pinned presentations?
If a user is in multiple groups here, all presentations are displayed in sequence.
What happens if the same presentation is pinned to two groups and a user is in both groups?
If the same presentation is pinned to two groups—i.e., presentation XY is pinned to both group A and group B and the user is in both groups—it will of course only appear once. The order is the same as the order of the groups in the settings, from top to bottom.
What determines the order of the presentations on the dashboard?
The order can be specified within a group's favorites—i.e., users in group A see presentation X first, then presentation Y, and users in group B then see presentation Z. A user who is in both groups will then see presentation X first, then presentation Y, and then presentation Z. The order of the groups is the same as the order of the groups in the settings from top to bottom.
