In this article, you'll learn how to navigate through your presentation and flexibly insert unprepared content during the presentation.
Navigating through the presentation on your laptop/PC
First open your presentation and click "Start". Now you can go through the presentation with the right arrow key (keyboard or presenter) or your space bar. To switch to the previous slide, use the left arrow key. You can find out more here: Navigating through the presentation
On touch devices, you can navigate by swiping.
Insert additional content during the presentation
If you want to show additional content during the presentation, you can do so using the enter menu. The content can be inserted "on-the-fly" into the presentation respectively session. Then you can simply continue with your prepared presentation. You can insert everything you have saved in presono, like slides, presentations, media and documents. You can find out how to do this in the article "What is the Enter Menu?
The presenter view allows you to use the enter menu without your listeners noticing. Read more about it in the following paragraph.
If you want to show a presentation on a second screen or beamer, you can use the presenter view.
To open it, click the drop-down (1) to the right of "Start" and select "open presenter view"(2).
Now the presenter view opens in a new window with the following contents:
- duration of the presentation(1) (the timer is running as soon as the presentation is started)
- the current time (2)
- current (3) and next slide (4)
- preview of all slides (5) in the presentation (these are also clickable)
Drag this window onto your laptop and the normal presono window onto the beamer or screen on which you want to present. Now all you have to do is start the presentation by clicking "Start".
You can now navigate by clicking the arrow icons or using the arrow keys on your keyboard.
If you want to access additional content during the presentation, you can do so using the enter menu. Since the enter menu opens on the second screen, you can hide the insertion of additional content from your audience. A detailed description of the enter menu you find here: What is the Enter Menu?
When you have finished your presentation, the content you inserted live during the presentation is also included in your session. If you then share the session, that content will of course also be included. You can find out more here: Share Sessions
